I barely remember when I got into photography.  In fact, I have always loved the sense of freedom that shooting offers me: freedom to make the course of time stop when something inspires me; freedom to feel the same sensations I felt when I took that photograph again after I look at it later; freedom to express myself artistically and share my “view” on the world, and freedom to “give” emotions, even if they are different from mine, to anyone who will look at the moments and subjects that I decided to immortalize.

I have never thought of transforming this wonderful passion into a profession so far; I love to cultivate it as an amateur because I believe that’s the only way that really allows me to express my personality and take emotionally impacting pictures. All my shots are actually the result of an instinctive and non-schematic choice and I believe that only instinct and lack of schemes can produce images that arouse emotions and touch the soul of anyone who looks at them. It’s our instinct that actually allows us to recognize the most authentic and touching beauty; that kind of beauty that can strike us just in the form of a sunset or a human face.

As an amateur photographer I can share my idea of beauty in the ways I prefer. This website is undoubtedly one of these ways: a new challenge and a new opportunity of personal growth that I want to experience with all the people that I will be able to move with the shots available in this virtual space.

“You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.”
